Renewing your permit
You can renew your permit online provided:
- you have received a renewal letter containing your unique webcode
- your name, address and vehicle details on the renewal letter are correct and have not changed
- you wish to renew for the same period as your previous permit (see 'Permit Duration' in your renewal letter)
- you wish to pay by credit or debit card (please note that all major cards are accepted apart from American Express and Diners Club)
You should renew your permit at least five working days before it expires as your permit will be posted to you. If your name, address or vehicle details have changed, you must complete a new application form.
Payment security information
Your payment card details are directly processed by the Payment Management division of Capita Software services, a leading provider of secure online payment services to local government, and are not collected or accessible by the Council. Capita Software Services’ online payment solutions are independently assessed and the company is certified by Visa Europe as a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 payment processor. All online card payments are protected by the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128 bits, which is the highest level commercially available.
